Meet Darlene Flynn, devoted collector of shoes and shoe-related items. Here you see her posing for photos inside her know, referred to as “Dar’s Shoe Heaven,” in Romoland, California. Darlene recently broke her own world record for the world’s largest collection of shoe items - comprising a whopping 16,400 pieces. This awesome collection is estimated to be worth $500,000.
Darlene started her collection back in 2001 following a divorce. The collection includes everything from shoe-shaped furniture, shoe-themed art, pins, clothing, teapots, soap, phones, porcelains, and thousands of miniature shoe figurines. To give you an even better sense of the scale of Darlene’s collection - it took her two full weeks to remove every item from their display cabinets and set them out for this photo shoot.
