Taj Mahal table by Studio Job
Studio Job created this controversial table based on the Taj Mahal for the Carpenters Workshop Gallery.
As a commenter on gizmodo notes:
This has got to be the ugliest table I’ve ever seen. Being an Indian, I know that The Taj Mahal holds a lot of value to the people here. Aside from being a marvelous work of architecture, it is also a symbol of love. Turning such a structure upside down and painting it black really disgraces the monument and offends a lot of people…The only thing good about this is the novel idea of using the same architectural concepts of a monument to design a table, but you should also consider the feelings associated with said monument before showing it to the public.
Is there anything wrong with that commenter’s argument? None couldn’t be found by me!
