Distraction? In some regards, yes, but I think you mean “destruction” of ignorance, hate, fascism, etc. by dissemination of information, knowledge, and cultural diversification. In which case I say, “let it rain, let it pour.”
BTW, we’ve learned to cope with that kind of distraction!
